<p>NASA&#8217;s Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) became part of the space shuttle&#8217;s final ferry flight as Endeavour flew over MAF on the back of the agency&#8217;s Shuttle Carrier Aircraft on Sept. 19. <span id="more-96"></span>Endeavour was on its way from Kennedy Space Center in Florida to Los Angeles, where the shuttle will make its new home at the California Science Center. Spectators at MAF took this rare opportunity to take photos as the aircraft flew over at 1500 feet.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 100 year celebration of Naval Aviation in Coronado, CA at the North Island Naval Air Station was truly a once in a lifetime event. Almost 200 military aircraft flew over San Diego Bay along with about 75 aircraft from the Navy, Marines &#038; Coast Guard on display on the ground. Everyone who attended had a good time and you could walk up close to every aircraft. Many of them you could even tour the inside &#038; talk to the pilots.</p>
<h2>USS Stennis Air Wing in Flight</h2>
<p>The pinnacle of the show was 38 aircraft from the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) aircraft carrier which included 30 FA-18 Hornets, E-2C, EA-6B, 2 FA-18 Super Hornets and a few other aircraft. Here is a video:</p>

<p>I had the chance to see PiperSport up close &#038; personal at the AOPA Airportfest in Long Beach and it is gorgeous. Definitely looks fun to fly and the glass cockpit is a sight to see.</p>
